Fast instantaneous response characteristics

In addition to determining the frequency response and sensitivity of the microphone, the ability of the diaphragm to respond quickly to sound waves, that is, the so-called "instantaneous response" characteristic, is the most important factor affecting the sound color of the microphone. The speed of the instantaneous response characteristics of the microphone depends on the weight of the whole diaphragm. The lighter the diaphragm, the faster the response speed.
